Program Description:



The CAPA Advanced Italian Track (AIT) Program in Florence provides you with a unique opportunity to further your Italian language skills. CAPA has partnered with the University of Florence’s Cultural Centre for Foreigners (CCF) to create a diverse program with a whole range of classes. CAPA AIT offers a blend of academic courses in Italian, advanced Italian language courses, fine arts courses, and an internship in your chosen field. This program is perfect for Italian language majors, or those who have a great Italian language foundation and would love to further their abilities. 

Florence student


The CAPA Florence Advanced Italian Track Program Fee includes:

  • 12-18 academic credits for the semester issued by SUNY Oswego
  • Guaranteed internship (3 credits) 
  • Homestay with daily breakfast and dinner
  • A Florence bus pass for the dates of the program
  • Full-day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano
  • Social events including an arrival reception, mid-term dinner, and a farewell ceremony
  • A pass and library privileges to the British Institute's 50,000 English-volume library

Note: you must have at least 4 semesters of Italian language completed and be competent in the language in order to participate.
