Travel to Athens, Mycenae, Corinth, Epidaurus, Delphi and Cape Sounion in Greece; Rome, Paestum, Pompeii and Naples in Italy; and Aix-en-Provence, Glanum and Arles in France! Travel throughout the Mediterranean Basin where the streets are made of stone, olive trees trace the horizon, and turquoise waters sparkle along the coastline. This traveling seminar allows you to explore a variety of Mediterranean sites and eras, from Antiquity to the Middle Ages. Visit iconic sites like Pompeii, led by local guides and experts in the fields of history, art history, and archaeology. You’ll develop strong research and critical thinking skills as you connect sites to the visual arts. Course content will be delivered through multiple site visits, guest lectures, and in-class meetings. You’ll have the opportunity to select the subject area that best meets your needs from the list of courses available.
