Program Overview

Your Language + Culture program in Barcelona lasts 4 weeks (or up to 12 weeks) and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in one CIEE course per session. Enhance your experience with extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Live and learn in Barcelona!

Discover the Gràcia neighborhood, famous for its bohemian and artistic style and streets filled with color and culture
Eat like a local and try popular traditional dishes like churros, patatas bravas, tortilla de patata, tapas, and pinchos
Visit the oldest preserved garden in Barcelona, reflecting both Neoclassical and Romantic styles

CIEE Barcelona: Study near Barcelona’s main square, Plaça Catalunya, on a beautiful pedestrian passageway, only minutes from cafés, restaurants, and important cultural attractions. GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
