Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Santiago lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Chilean culture. Homestays are ideal for students who wish to experience living with local families in apartments or houses within a 45-minute commute of CIEE Santiago. Residence halls are located within a 30-minute commute to the city center.

Explore one of Santiago's 30+ museums dedicated to fashion, education, human rights, carpentry, music, pre-Columbian art, and more
Hike on the Andes for a day at Quebrada de Macul, San Carlos de Apoquindo, or Aguas de Ramon
Take a wine tasting workshop day, learning and sampling local wines, like Carmenere

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
