Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Santiago lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Chilean culture. Live, learn, and work in Santiago!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Santiago will open doors for you to explore Chile’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.    

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Explore one of Santiago’s 30+ museums dedicated to fashion, education, human rights, carpentry, music, pre-Columbian art, and more
  • Hike on the Andes for a day at Quebrada de Macul, San Carlos de Apoquindo, or Aguas de Ramon
  • Take a wine tasting workshop day, learning and sampling local wines, like Carmenere
