Program Overview

Your Open Campus Block in Santiago places you in a dynamic capital framed by the Andes Mountains, known for its blend of urban energy, cultural traditions, and access to diverse natural landscapes, giving you the ability to tailor your experience to your academic interests and personal goals. You'll enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Extending your learning beyond classes, co-curricular and extracurricular experiences might include exploring historic neighborhoods like Lastarria and Bellavista, taking in sweeping views from Cerro San Cristóbal, and venturing beyond the city to nearby vineyards or the Pacific coast. Santiago offers a setting shaped by contrast, where modern city life, outdoor adventure, and regional traditions come together in distinctive ways.

CIEE Santiago offers diverse housing options to ensure you're comfortable in?your home away from home. From homestays to residence halls, we will strive for your?accommodation preferences to be met. Homestays are ideal for students who wish to experience living with local families in apartments or houses. CIEE Santiago also offers non-homestay accommodations in residence halls for students who want to live with other Chilean and international students.

Arizona State University (ASU):?Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
