Located directly below the Ochil Hills and the National Wallace Monument, Stirling is a stone’s throw from the Trossachs Hills and Trossachs National Park, the setting for the movie Rob Roy, and encompasses Airthrey Loch and Airthrey Castle. It is a modern university though, built in 1967, and is only a short bus ride away from the town of Stirling, known as the heart of central Scotland.
